About Me:: I make hand-stitched teddy bears and puzzle ball soft toys (also smaller ones as Christmas ornaments). I sew them by hand for a couple of reasons. First, because that's the way my grandmother made all her quilts and that's the way I started out quilting, too. And second, because the small fabric pieces of these projects made them easily portable and interruptable, so I could keep working on them when my kids were little...because moms are always interrupted!

I also make buttons products, as promos for other people and also from recycled vintage magazines. I especially like finding images of old cameras and photography equipment for buttons, magnets, keychains and pocket mirrors. I used to work as a freelance photographer, so I'm very familiar with all the items in those images and have some of them in my personal collection. If you're looking for a unique gift for a photographer, let me know if there's a particular camera you're looking for, and I've probably got it around here somewhere!

What I do, etc....

I collect vintage cameras. Of course, when I started collecting them, they weren't exactly vintage, just not the newest thing on the market. Since my limited budget at the time determined that I would continue to use the old Miranda camera (ever heard of it?) that my father passed along to me, I had to resort to combing flea markets and camera shows to acquire more lenses and accessories for it.
