Thread from Admin Asking for Opinions on Views and What they Mean

Howdy kids-
You all might want to get over here and share your opinion/data on your views. A new Admin, 'CaterpillarCowboy' is talkng about search and asking for suggestions. Here's the thread:

Here's my reply, since I was going to share this info with you all anyway:

That explains why I too only have sales when I renew or when my items are viewable in the Time Machine.
Thanks, ArtsFarm.

I'm going to contribute to his thread. Thanks for posting this; I had seen it, and I need to read the whole thing. It's very, very long...

I posted a topic in regard to search default situation. Perhaps you may wish to weigh in here as well:

I wish I'd been that thorough about studying my views before, artsfarm. Nice job, and good response. I too only get sales when I renew. Though my views are slightly up since the first week or so that the change went into effect, I think that has to do with all the work I've been doing in my shop and to promote it.

I have been keeping up with that thread too. MaryMary says they are "researching" the revert to default search issue. Etsy research is never ending. I feel this is smoke and mirrors.

I have no faith in Etsy anymore. They could very quickly announce on the front page that Vintage can be purchased here. Even I know how to do that, so what is the issue? I have lots to list, but I am tired of paying .20 cents not to be seen or to renew just to fill the Etsy coffers. Admin knows that many sellers are hurting, they know it`s from the change or we would not have been offered the 4 free months which seems to be off the table. They don`t give a rats behind. I don`t expect hand holding or coddling. I want to get what I pay for.

Wow! That felt good!

Thanks Ida for the referral to the thread. I put my 2 cents in there yesterday.
Like Cathy I have lost faith, but don't want to lose the precious community that is a gift to me. I feel like that line in Big Fat Greek Wedding....where Aunt Vula said, "Woe to me, business is BAD!"
