Or your Vintage Buttons, newly posted? Forgive the fractured English? Either way, I'd love to see what you have. I just posted this pin yesterday. It's one of my favorite buttons. http://www.etsy... Continue

I have four cards of vintage buttons I've had for years and years. I think they were in my mother's stash that came to me when she died in 1998. Three cards are from Stylemakers. Two of the Stylemakers sets are coat buttons. One set is yellow with five wavey white embossed lines around a depressed two-hole center. The other is a deep, almost burgundy, red, two-hole, depressed center coat button with a raised ridge surrounding the center. The third Stylemaker set is pearlized, iridescent pink, shank buttons with embossed scallops around the outside edge. This is a set of six blouse buttons.

The fourth card is a set of four suit or coat buttons from Costumakers. The illustration on the card looks to be from the 60s. There are four bright red, two-hole buttons with a slightly raised ridge halfway between the outside edge and the small center depression surrounding the holes. Within the bands made by the raised areas there are very fine radiating lines which, when viewed one way seem to go opposite directions but when viewed another way, seem to go in the same direction. Very much an optical allusion, I think.

Anyway, I do have pics of them. If I can figure out how to do it, I'll post them on my page. I would like to find out something about them. Thanks so much.

Hi just joined this group, I have a thing for buttons especially old ones, and although I have bottles and bottles, I just never seem to have enough!
